What is Yakitori? part2"Yakitori" literally means "Grilled Bird" and traditionally consisted only of various parts of chicken but in modern usage in Japan refers to any sort of chicken, beef, pork, seafood and vegetables on skewers "Kushi" grilled on a charcoal fuelled BBQ "Yakitori". KEN Yakitori Bar grills with the worlds finest charcoal "Binchotan", it is made of Japanese holm oak. Binchotan is nearly pure carbon it has impurities heat retention and reaches temperatures as high as 1,000°C. This charcoal is almost free of excellent and because it produces no flame, which scorches food, it is highly prized by top chefs. |
